Fall River’s EK Celebrates Grand Opening of Third Facility

Fall River- Ek celebrated the grand opening of their 3rd manufacturing facility on October 15th with a short program and ribbon cutting ceremony.
EK President and CEO Steve Slack and Spencer Dowdell, EK’s Assembly, Electrical, and Service Manager, spoke at the ribbon-cutting ceremony. Both are very optimistic about EK’s current and future growth. Dowdell also praised EK’s dedicated team members as a cornerstone of its continued growth and success.
Other guest speakers were Jeff Slotten, Fall River Village President and Nick Novak, Vice President of Communications and Marketing from Wisconsin Manufactures & Commerce. Joan Ballweg who represents Wisconsin’s 14th Senate District was also in attendance.

The new 67,000 square foot manufacturing facility has many state-of-the art features, including air conditioning and a fully automated crane system capable of moving 200,000 pounds, which will help EK keep up with its growing demand. The EK team will assemble large custom generator packages inside the new space for customers throughout the United States.
The new facility is located at 500 Quality Court in Fall River’s newly expanded Industrial Park.
EK employs over 200 people across three shifts at 3 Fall River locations. Founded in 1970, it will celebrate 55 years of business next year. EK currently has open positions available. More information can be found at www.ekmachine.com/careers/.

EK also presented Fall River School District with $1,500 for school supplies after the ribbon cutting ceremony.
